How do I unsubscribe supporters from email marketing?
MarketSmart’s Product team is excited to announce that we are in the process of updating Email Reports, which will allow you to see benchmarks and reports on ALL emails, not just your cultivation emails. While this is underway, the unsubscribe feature may be unavailable in the Dashboard. If you do not see the Unsubscribe Supporters option in the Dashboard navigation menu, please contact your Customer Success Manager with your unsubscribe list(s).
Please note that unsubscribes and suppressions should be handled differently. If you are uncertain which is correct for your situation, please reach out and ask before proceeding.
Unsubscribe: Supporters who should never receive any email from your organization (i.e. they previously marked your emails as spam, they opted-out, etc.) should be unsubscribed. This action cannot be undone.
Suppression: Supporters who should be excluded from specific efforts (i.e. you want to make sure legacy society members do not receive a specific survey or other effort) should be sent to your Customer Success Manager and not unsubscribed.
When using the unsubscribe feature, type or paste a list of email addresses you wish to never receive any emails from your organization. After you click “submit” you will receive a confirmation email to let you know we have received your request and are queuing your unsubscribe list. Please upload unsubscribe lists at least 48 hours in advance of an email blast.
*If you do not see this feature in your Dashboard, please send your unsubscribe list(s) to your Customer Success Manager.
